Mega Skill Centre

Mega Skill Centre (Jharkhand)

The Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society (JSDMS) represents the Government of Jharkhand's vision to establish Mega Skill Centres in Ranchi and East Singhbum. Their ultimate goal is to convert them into centres of excellence that target skill-training for specialised sectors, like Manufacturing/ Strategic Manufacturing, Agriculture and Food Processing , Electronics, Telecom , IT and ITES, Handicrafts and Handlooms, Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Housing, Hospitality, Retail, Tourism, and Apparels, Textiles and Garments.

They got us, CMC Skills, on board to help turn that goal into reality, as we bring our proven track-record in adding valuable skill to people’s lives.

We’re well on course to ambitiously deliver on all the key objectives of the project:

  • Establishing, maintaining and managing the Mega Skill Centres
  • Enabling a skill capacity of training 3000 to 5000 beneficiaries per year (both residential & non-residential training)
  • Providing and executing training courses as per the industry requirements, along with certification
  • Maintaining a strategic breakup of providing skill to at least 50% of candidates for wage-employment, and 20% for self-employment.

The Mega Skills Centre will be a landmark venture in India’s quest in bridging the skill-deficiency gap in the market. We, at CMC Skills, are proud to play a part in this.

DAY-NULM (Nawada, Bihar)

The Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) is a Government of India initiative, that aspires to alleviate urban poverty through skill development.

To further their mission, the DAY-NULM has taken the help of CMC Skills for their venture in Nawada, Bihar. By partnering with us, they aim to realise their vision - to deliver an asset in the form of skills to urban poor for sustainable livelihood. It was possible only through structured, market-oriented certification. That’s exactly what we are delivering, as we leverage our industry-expertise to help candidates by:

  • Training fresh entrants towards the needs and standards of the market.
  • Upgrading the skills of urban poor already engaged in occupation.
  • Providing certification and recognition of acquired skills.

We've adopted an Employment through Skill-Training & Placement (EST&P) approach in order to set-up self-employed ventures, along with salaried job opportunities.

The Rotary Club of Madras, a prestigious name in the global philanthropic community, commissioned an ambitious project to impart value-adding skill training to unskilled candidates.

In a tie-up with the Indian Clearing Corporation Limited (ICCL), the 'CSR-ICCL' project was incorporated as a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activity that would benefit skill-deficient sectors, like Apparel and IT.

CMC Skills was selected as the training-partner, with the project aiming to train 150 candidates under two different courses:

  • Basic Sewing Machine Operation
  • Basic Computer Training

We delivered adeptly, enabling the candidates with critical skills, with an eye on the industry standards and requirements. During the course, we successfully delivered on:

  • Supplying each trainee with in-depth courseware, training kits, along with consumables (cloth, paper, raw material, etc.)
  • Providing comprehensive training to each candidate through a carefully-designed curriculum. Leading industry experts were engaged as guest lecturers.
  • Organising industrial visits, as well as providing thorough OJT (On Job Training) to every candidate.
  • Mobilising all candidates towards successful and fruitful careers as skilled workers
